Vin write

Skim reset (will require a security pin)

Latest calibration

GPEC 2

These modules require the following:

Vin write

Immobilizer learn (security pin required)

Latest calibration

Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) relearn

Most of these generations will require vehicle configuration restore function, particularly after the 2010 model year.

( Vehicles with Fiat systems such as radio frequency hubs will require cloning when installing used or remanufactured modules)

GPEC 2a

These modules require the following:

Vin write

Immobilizer learn (security pin required)

Latest calibration

Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) relearn

Most of these generations will require PROXY alignment function, particularly after the 2012 model year.

( Vehicles with Fiat systems such as radio frequency hubs will require cloning when installing used or remanufactured modules)

GPEC 3

These modules require the following:

Vin write

Immobilizer learn (security pin required)

This is a rolling pin. Will require NASTEF credentials and OE-level tooling.

Latest calibration

Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) relearn

These modules require PROXY alignment.

(These modules require cloning when installing used or remanufactured modules.)

GPEC 5

These modules require the following:

Vin write

Immobilizer learn (security pin required)

Latest calibration

Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) relearn

These modules require PROXY alignment.

(These modules can not be installed used at the moment.)

MAGNETTI MARELLI

These modules require the following:

VIN registration

PROXY alignment

Immobilizer learn (security pin required) This is a rolling pin. Will require NASTEF credentials and OE-level tooling.

Latest calibration.

(These modules will require cloning when installing used or remanufactured modules.)

We are currently updating this list and will add more manufacturers and modules soon!

GM

P01,P04

These are early GM engine controllers.

These modules will need the following:

Vin rewrite via GM SPS2.

Immobilizer relearn (either 12 minutes with SPS2 or a 30-minute manual relearn procedure)

Crankshaft variation relearn.

WARNING, GM coverage of these modules has been spotty at best after they moved from SPS to SPS2.

VORTEC

These modules will need the following:

Vin rewrite via GM SPS2.

Immobilizer relearn (either 12 minutes with SPS2 or a 30-minute manual relearn procedure)

Crankshaft variation relearn.

WARNING, GM coverage of these modules has been spotty at best after they moved from SPS to SPS2.

P10

These modules will need the following:

Vin rewrite via GM SPS2.

Immobilizer relearn (either 12 minutes with SPS2 or a 30-minute manual relearn procedure)

Crankshaft variation relearn.

WARNING, GM coverage of these modules has been spotty at best after they moved from SPS to SPS2.

E40

These modules will need the following:

Vin rewrite via GM SPS2.

Immobilizer relearn (either 12 minutes with SPS2 or a 30-minute manual relearn procedure)

Crankshaft variation relearn.

WARNING, GM coverage of these modules has been spotty at best after they moved from SPS to SPS2.

E67

These modules will need the following:

Vin rewrite via GM SPS2.

Immobilizer relearn (either 12 minutes with SPS2 or a 30-minute manual relearn procedure)

Crankshaft variation relearn.

WARNING, GM coverage of these modules has been spotty at best after they moved from SPS to SPS2.

E38

These modules will need the following:

Vin rewrite via GM SPS2.

Immobilizer relearn (either 12 minutes with SPS2 or a 30-minute manual relearn procedure)

Crankshaft variation relearn.

WARNING, GM coverage of these modules has been spotty at best after they moved from SPS to SPS2.

GM

BOSCH MANUFACTURED MODULES

E55

These modules will require the following:

Vin rewrite via GM SPS2.

Immobilizer relearn (either 12 minutes with SPS2 or a 30-minute manual relearn procedure)

Crankshaft variation relearn.

WARNING, GM coverage of these modules has been spotty at best after they moved from SPS to SPS2.

This particular module is best to be cloned but not necessary.

E77

Vin rewrite via GM SPS2.

Immobilizer relearn (either 12 minutes with SPS2 or a 30-minute manual relearn procedure)

Crankshaft variation relearn.

WARNING, GM coverage of these modules has been spotty at best after they moved from SPS to SPS2.

This module will not learn security with SPS2. This module will require cloning for best results.

E69

22

Vin rewrite via GM SPS2.

Crankshaft variation relearn.

WARNING, GM coverage of these modules has been spotty at best after they moved from SPS to SPS2.

This module will not learn security with SPS2. This module will require cloning.

WARNING. Some of these modules are Global A architecture. Be careful and make sure service numbers match.

GM

Global A architecture

E39/E39A

Starting in 2010 GM rolled out Global A architecture. What this means for you is you can not swap modules for testing purposes or the installation of used/reman modules.

Contact us for any questions regarding pricing on these modules as we have many solutions for this architecture.

Did you buy a module and found out too late?

No worries we can help. Just before you contact us make sure the SN (service number) matches your donor module otherwise we can not guarantee successful programming.

So how do I know its Global A?

Not to worry below we have added a pdf from GM. This pdf is actually GM's factory scan tool reference. Essentially if the scan tool (GDS2) supports the vehicle it is Global A.

Caution. There will be some oddball vehicles such as some HD or utility vehicles that will not be global A but feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

We are currently updating this list and will add more manufacturers and modules soon!
